Fractionated Laser Resurfacing

CONVENIENTLY LOCATED TO SERVE DUBLIN, OH

Fractionated Laser ResurfacingActiveFX and DeepFX are fractional laser procedure(s) that can be performed in a single treatment with minimal patient downtime. Patients can choose to have ActiveFX alone, or for deeper penetration of the skin layers, can elect to add DeepFX.

With ‘ActiveFX’ treatment, a high- energy beam of CO2 laser light interacts with the skin’s surface causing the upper layer to peel off and regenerate a layer of new, healthy skin. Effects of the treatment become visible right away, whereas others, such as new collagen formation, build up gradually and result in continued smoothing over time.

Dr. Bapna,
Thank you so much for making us even more beautiful… What we thought was impossible. Happy New Year!

by T.K., C.M.

The ‘DeepFX’ is a revolutionary fractional laser technology that uses CO2 laser resurfacing microbeams to precisely target the deep dermal layers of the skin. This process stimulates a cascade of healing responses that leads to tissue regeneration and new collagen formation throughout the entire treatment area.
With these fractional laser treatment(s), only a fraction of the skin’s surface is treated by the laser, leaving small bridges of untouched skin. This technique makes the healing process much faster and enables you to get back to normal activities sooner.

AM I A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR FRACTIONATED LASER RESURFACING?

The best candidates for a fractionated laser resurfacing treatment are healthy individuals who want to improve fine lines, acne or chickenpox scars, hyperpigmentation, or enlarged pores. Fractionated laser resurfacing is also great for reducing other types of scars (including scars from a facelift or other cosmetic procedure), birthmarks, and sun-damaged skin.

If a patient has active acne, it is highly recommended that you clear up the acne with other treatments first. This will help prevent any possible infection and should help treat acne more effectively.

Since a fractionated laser resurfacing treatment is non-surgical, it is best to set realistic expectations. People with a darker skin tone, deep wrinkles, or skin that sags to an extreme degree should explore other alternatives for improving the skin.

YOUR FRACTIONATED LASER RESURFACING CONSULTATION

A consultation for fractionated laser resurfacing starts with an assessment to see if ActiveFX, DeepFX, or Lutronic LaseMD is the best treatment option for your skin. You will be asked about your complete medical history to ensure that your likelihood of complications is very low. Once your eligibility and type of laser treatment is determined during a consultation, you will be given an overview of your treatment program.

Dr. Bapna will enlighten you on the aftercare process. He will also answer any questions you may have about the do’s and don’ts and how to prepare for the appointment.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR A FRACTIONATED LASER RESURFACING TREATMENT

Before a fractionated laser resurfacing treatment, avoid excessive sun exposure for at least two weeks. Laser energy can damage sunburned skin. Apply sunscreen that matches your skin needs consistently.

The same risk goes for using retinoids. Take a break from using products that increase skin sensitivity to prevent possible irritation, hyperpigmentation, or burns.

It is highly recommended to stop taking anti-inflammatory medicine and herbal supplements like vitamin E and fish oil before your fractionated laser appointment. This will save you from the risk of blood clotting.
